CU Pride Month to Kick off With Leadership Conference on June 1

HENDERSON, Nev.–Declaring June as “CU Pride Month,” the organization that serves LGBTQ+ credit union professionals and community said the month will be all about building an inclusive environment within the credit union industry.

The month will kick off on June 3 with the CU Pride Leadership Conference at which NCUA Chairman Todd Harper will offer opening remarks.

Organizers said Harper will be followed by a “powerful lineup” of panelists who will tackle topics that emphasize both the why and the ROI of investing in the LGBTQ+ community.

The Sessions

Sessions will include:

  • Credit Unions in Action
  • LGBTQ+ Board and Volunteer Inclusion
  • Commitment to CU Pride
  • Delivering Inclusive Dogma
  • Intersectional Allyship

Twenty different people are scheduled to participate as speakers as part of the panels.
