CU Now Has Its Name on ‘The Zone’ At Football Stadium

COLUMBIA, S.C.–An area of Williams-Brice Stadium here, home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, has a new credit union sponsor.

Previously known as The Zone, it is now called the Founders Zone, following a partnership between the university and Founders Federal Credit Union.
The zone is an 11,000-square-foot indoor space at the south end zone of stadium and is used on both game days and for other events. In addition to the naming rights, the university said other partnership benefits are also part of the deal.

The Founders Zone includes 1,500 premium seats and spans the south end zone between the upper and lower levels. There is also outdoor, covered seating, indoor television monitors, inclusive catering, individual lockers for storing beverages and personal belongings

"This partnership strengthens our commitment to the university, community and our market area in Columbia. Relax ... welcome to Founders Zone," said Founders President and CEO Bruce Brumfield in a statement.

According to the two organizations, Founders Zone continues a partnership between Founders and USC Athletics that began with the naming of Founders Park baseball stadium in October 2015. At the time of the naming announcement, it was one of only three on-campus college baseball stadiums that had corporate naming rights.
