CU Launches Fund to Help Teachers Whose Classrooms Were Hit by Texas Floods

BEAUMONT, Texas – In the wake of flooding here, Education First Federal Credit Union has launched a fund to support teachers whose classrooms were affected by Tropical Storm Imelda.

Education First has donated $1,500 to start the Imelda Educators Relief Fund, which it said is designed to assist teachers with replacing classroom supplies.  Education First FCU employees and the public are being invited to make donations as well at any of the CU’s six locations in Beaumont, Jasper, Kountze, Silsbee and Woodville, Texas.

A GoFundMe page has also been established to accept donations at https://www.gofundme.com/f/imelda-educators-relief-fund
