CU Hosting Week-Long DREAM Festival

DUBBO, NSW, Australia–Macquarie Credit Union is hosting a week-long DREAM Festival this week, including events it says are “easily affordable.”

"We want everyone to be able to attend, so we've worked hard to ensure there are low-cost events, especially considering the recent hardships the community is facing with a drought present," Festival Chair Anne Field said. "We know there are people in our community who are suffering from the effects of the drought. So having low costs and free events was more important to us than ever. There are at least three events people can attend and enjoy with a simple bottle of water and vegemite sandwich, and no other costs.”

Field said the music and markets are free events and that all that is being asked is for a “gold coin donation,” although that’s not compulsory, according to The Daily Liberal.

The festival will run from October 17 to October 27, featuring more than 30 events including workshops, music events and markets, which include the Lantern Show and the Laser Show.

The festival program is available online at www.dreamfest.com.au.
