CU Buys Naming Rights To Building At Fairgrounds

RIDGECREST, Calif.–Mesquite Hall, the largest building at the Desert Empire Fairgrounds here, has a new name: The Desert Valleys FCU Hall.

The Desert Empire Fair board of directors voted in favor of the five-year, $21,600 sponsorship, which also brings with it the title for the upcoming Dash in the Desert event.

In addition, the deal also includes being named a top sponsor for the annual Desert Empire Fair and all major events, as well as on advertising; preferred seating for eight people at headliner concerts; free booth space at community yard sales; 50 free admissions to the fair for DVFCU staff and friends, among other things, the Daily Independent reported.

The contract stipulates an escalating funding, with $3,000 per year for the initial two-year period in one up-front sum due first quarter of this year. The second two-year period will commence in 2019 at a sum of $4,800 per year, and $6,000 in 2021, the Daily Independent said.
