WASHINGTON—Credit union supported candidates in five Mississippi primaries this week won their races. The candidates had received support from the political action committees of America’s Credit Unions and the Mississippi Credit Union Association backed the winners.
In addition, in California, America’s Credit Unions PAC and California Credit Union League-backed Rep. David Valadao (R-CA) advanced in last week’s Super Tuesday primary. He will face Democrat challenger Rudy Salas in November.
Also in California, credit union-supported Vince Fong has advanced to the November election for the seat held by former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. Fong is also a candidate in the March 19 special election to fill out the rest of McCarthy’s term.
As CUToday.info reported earlier, on Super Tuesday earlier this month America’s Credit Unions PAC supported 85 candidates, all of whom won their primary races.
