ST. PAUL, Minn.–The Minnesota Credit Union Network, Montana’s Credit Unions, and the Wisconsin Credit Union League are reporting they have formalized their partnership around Tristate Collaborative, LLC, a CUSO that jointly forms strategic endorsement relationships with partners with a goal of helping their credit unions best serve their members.
According to the organization, the mission of Tristate is to provide best-in-class products, services, education, and resources to the credit unions in Wisconsin, Montana, and Minnesota.
The CUSO is chaired by Gerry Singleton, president & CEO of Montana’s Credit Unions, with Mara Humphrey, president & CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network serving as vice chair; and Beth Ellis, SVP of finance & strategic partnerships of the Wisconsin league as treasurer. Kris Jacobsen, VP-business development for MnCUN has been elected president and chief manager, while Randi Sundsmo, executive assistant for MnCUN will serve as administrator.
‘Strong Collaboration’
“Tristate Collaborative is another example of strong collaboration in the credit union movement, leveraging our trusted relationships on behalf of our credit unions. Through scale, the Tristate Collaborative will show existing and future credit union partners that Midwest credit unions are a thriving marketplace,” said Singleton. “Through collaboration, we will grow partnerships, create efficiencies, decrease expenses, and increase value to our credit unions.”
Added Jacobsen, “This is true cooperation among cooperatives. Together we are 246 credit unions with over $110 billion in assets representing six million consumer members. This scale shows we as credit unions are a viable market for best-in-class products and services. In turn, our Tristate credit unions have access to the best products at the best possible prices. This is truly a win for credit unions and win for our partner product and service providers.”
