WASHINGTON—Banks and credit reporting companies are the most complained about financial services companies, according to a new report.
The CFPB’s latest monthly consumer complaints snapshot reveals that of the five most-complained-about companies, three of them—Equifax, Experian, and Transunion—are credit reporting companies.
Equifax topped the list with 991 complaints from March-May, followed by 926 complaints about Experian. Bank of America (858 complaints) was third, TransUnion (732) fourth, and Wells Fargo (720) fifth.
JPMorgan Chase was sixth (638), Citibank (515) finished seventh, and Capital One was tenth (324).
