WASHINGTON—CFPB Director Rohit Chopra will address credit union attendees during NAFCU’s 2022 Congressional Caucus, the trade association announced.
Credit unions can still register for the event, where attendees will “engage lawmakers and regulators on a wide range of industry topics and all things happening on the Hill,” NAFCU said.
Congressional Caucus is scheduled for Sept. 11-14 in Washington.
According to NAFCU, in addition to Chopra, others set to speak to the event include:
- NCUA Board Chairman Todd Harper
- NCUA Board Vice Chairman Kyle Hauptman
- NCUA Board Member Rodney Hood
- Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Sandra Thompson
- Department of Treasury Director for International Engagement and Mission Support Brian Peretti
Lawmakers on Schedule
In addition, NAFCU said multiple lawmakers are also scheduled to provide remarks, including:
- Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC), ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee;
- Rep. French Hill (R-AR), member of the House Financial Services Committee and ranking member of the Housing, Community Development and Insurance Subcommittee
- Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions
- Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), member of the House Financial Services Committee
