WASHINGTON–The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has closed two of its offices after a contractor in its Washington headquarters tested positive for coronavirus.
It also shuttered its New York office, and has instructed employees to work from home, according to Yahoo News.
Two CFPB employees also showed symptoms of the disease and were being tested, according to the report.
On March 12 the Bureau warned employees in its Washington headquarters via email of the first possible case of coronavirus infection. At the time, the office was not closed, though employees who wanted to work from home were invited to do so, Yahoo reported.
