ERIE, Penn.—The former CEO of Oil Country FCU, who was found guilty of embezzling nearly $48,000, was sentenced to one day in a federal facility, followed by six months at a community corrections facility.

Lisa Hauptmann, 48, could have faced up to 18 months in federal prison for the crime.  U.S. District Judge David S. Cercone also ordered Hauptmann to serve another six months on house arrest. The one-day sentence will be served at the offices of the U.S. Marshals Service at the federal courthouse here on June 15.

Hauptmann pleaded guilty in February to a felony count of embezzling $47,600 between November 2011 and May 2015 from the Oil Country FCU.

Hauptmann’s six-month term will take place at the community corrections facility in West Mifflin, Penn., where she will be eligible for work release.

The sentence also includes four years of supervised release. Hauptmann has been ordered to pay restitution. She is currently working as a housekeeper at a personal care home in Titusville, Penn., and she has a second job at Home Depot.

According to authorities, Hauptmann embezzled the money by giving herself cash advances that she used to pay for household expenses. She had been named CEO in 2013, where her salary was $48,000.
