CCUA Returns 5% Of Dues To Affiliated CUs

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — The Cooperative Credit Union Association announced it is awarding a 5% 2017 dues rebate to members in good standing in 2018, marking the third straight year the Association has awarded a dues rebate.

The CCUA said it strives to operate in the true model of a cooperative, where returning value in many ways to the membership is a core principle. Association Chair Ellen Ford, CEO of Peoples Credit Union in Rhode Island, said the association’s core value is excellence in advocacy on the legislative, regulatory and consumer levels, while delivering member value in compliance, education and products and services.

“We are pleased to be able to deliver the rebate. The Association is working strategically to stay focused on our core areas and delivering value where the members most need it,” said Ford.
“Members are responding by taking advantage of all that we offer. The more we can do together cooperatively with our members, the better our credit union system will be.”
The CCUA serves credit unions in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The association said its membership has four options to consider with their rebate:

  • Have the rebate sent to them
  • Contribute the rebate to the Social Responsibility cause for their state
  • Contribute the rebate to the Association’s growing “Better Values. Better Banking.” consumer awareness campaign for efforts in their state
  • Split the rebate between their state’s Social Responsibility Cause and to consumer awareness activities in their state through the “Better Values. Better Banking” campaign
