CCCU In Alliance On Credit Card To Help Extend ‘God’s Love’

SAN DIMAS, Calif.—Christian Community Credit Union here said it has entered into an alliance with Operation Mobilization (OM) to offer the OM Visa Card, an affinity credit card that could generate thousands of dollars in “helping OM bring God’s love and hope all over the world.”

In addition, CCCU also offers another affinity card for The Freedom Challenge (FC), an organization founded by OM. The Freedom Challenge Visa Card will help “rescue women and children from trafficking and slavery while rebuilding their lives in Christ,” the credit union said in a statement.

“Partnering with Christian Community Credit Union is an exciting opportunity for us,” said OM USA’s President and CEO Andrew Scott. “Using this card is a strategic way to support our global commitment to see vibrant communities of Christ followers amongst the least reached.”

“The Freedom Challenge Visa Card is a new resource to support our movement of raising awareness to help end modern-day slavery and social injustice to women and children worldwide. We’re excited and grateful for this opportunity from Christian Community Credit Union,” said Nicole Turner of The Freedom Challenge. “We hope many of our partners will take advantage of this unique offer.”

For every new Operation Mobilization or Freedom Challenge Visa card approved, Christian Community CU will donate $100 to the respective organization in support of their work. Moreover, each time a cardholder uses the card for purchases, CCCU will make additional donations to the organization. According to the organizations, the donation comes from the CU’s “Cards that Give to Missions” program, where a portion of the interchange income  goes to support the organizations. In addition, cardholders will also earn CURewards points on every purchase that can be redeemed for free airfare, merchandise, gift cards, and more.

“It’s an honor and a blessing to partner with Operation Mobilization and The Freedom Challenge in establishing affinity card programs that support their life-changing work,” says John Walling, Christian Community Credit Union president/CEO, in a statement. “These cards present a unique opportunity for friends of Operation Mobilization and The Freedom Challenge to support their work and help bring the message of God’s love to people all over the world.”
