PHILADELPHIA—More Major League Baseball fans can leave their cash at home when they visit the ballpark.
At the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, for example, some vendors who roam the stands with snacks and refreshments now accept plastic, CBS Philly reported.
Approximately 10 vendors at Phillies games will be equipped with iPhones and a Bluetooth-connected device that will print a receipt.
Food service company Aramark is launching the service at eight Major League ballparks where it has the food concession. The company may expand the service to more vendors, if it catches on, CBS Philly said.
