COLUMBUS, Ohio—Business lending is way up for credit unions in Ohio, the Ohio Credit Union League reports.
The league said that CU business lending for the first half of 2015 reached $111 million, up 49% from the first half of 2014. The league said the average business loan is $116,036.
Auto lending, which continues to grow for CUs across the nation, is strong in the Buckeye State as well. Growth in both these loan categories drove overall lending by Ohio credit unions to a record of nearly $3.9 billion as of June 30, the league reported.
