Broc Sleek Tapped To Lead CHROME FCU, Succeeding Longtime CEO Robert Flanyak

CANNONSBURG, Pa. — Broc Sleek has been named president and chief executive officer of CHROME FCU, effective Feb. 2, succeeding longtime CEO Robert Flanyak, who will retire in April after a decade at the helm, according to the Observer-Reporter.

Sleek brings a long history with the $218 million credit union, having first joined CHROME in 2015 as vice president and chief digital officer, where he played a key role in the institution’s rebrand and digital transformation. He has also spent the past eight years serving as a volunteer member of CHROME’s board of directors.

Most recently, Sleek served as senior vice president of lending operations at LendKey, a national fintech that works with more than 300 credit unions, giving him broad experience in lending strategy and fintech partnerships.

CHROME Board Chairman Robert Greek said Sleek’s combination of strategic, operational, and fintech expertise, along with his longstanding ties to the credit union, position him well to lead the organization into its next chapter, the Observer-Reporter said.

Founded in 1971 as the Washington Steel Employees’ Federal Credit Union, CHROME has grown into a full-service institution serving more than 15,600 members across the Pittsburgh region.
