HOUGHTON, Mich.–Breakwater Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO. The $123-million BFCU has selected Paula J. Megowen to lead the organization.
Megowen has been with Breakwater FCU, which was formerly Michigan Tech Employees FCU for more than 35 years, beginning her career as a teller in 1988. Megowen also served as VP of Lending for almost 15 years before stepping into the role of Interim president/CEO in December 2022, the credit union said.
“The board is 100% behind Paula as she continues to serve our members as she has done for the past 35 years,” said Chairman Karl Benda,
The hiring was first reported by the Michigan Credit Union League.
