WASHINGTON—Michelle Bowman has been confirmed by the Senate to a full 14-year term on the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors. She was initially confirmed in November of 2018 to fill a vacant seat on the Fed board that was set to expire Jan. 31.
At her first nomination hearing, the former Kansas state bank commissioner offered support for reducing the regulatory burden facing community-based financial institutions by better tailoring regulations, NAFCU noted.
NAFCU said its team and board of directors are set to meet with Bowman later this year to review the association's Annual Report on Credit Unions.
