SALT LAKE CITY– CU4Kids has added two new fundraising events to its lineup.
On Friday, Oct. 11, credit unions and system partners from across the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s region and beyond, will host a “Bourbon, BBQ and Bands” event.
“With over 25 local Children’s hospitals in the region, the funds raised at this event will help change kids’ health to change the future,” CU4Kids said. “In addition to live entertainment from multi-platinum entertainer Russell Dickerson and popular recording trio Runaway June, revelers will enjoy an array of bourbons, delicious barbeque, auctions and more – all while benefiting the thousands of children treated at CMN Hospitals each year.”
One Child’s Story
CU4Kids shared the story of Nolan, a patient at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, who was likely born with a microscopic tumor undetectable to the naked eye.
“Just two weeks after seeing a specialist, Nolan’s left eye was surgically removed and replaced with an orbital implant to keep his eye muscles in shape while he healed,” CU4Kids said. “Thanks to donations through events such as the Bourbons, BBQ and Bands, CHRISTUS Children’s can fund surgical innovation and cancer care, both of which have been instrumental in Nolan’s treatment.”

Night of Miracles
The second new event will be held on Nov. 13 when the League of Southeastern Credit Unions will host Night of Miracles at the Tampa Museum of Art. The event will be a formal gala that will bring together credit unions from Alabama, Florida and Georgia and industry partners and attendees from across the United States.
“LSCU is thrilled to unite credit unions in our three-state region around the mission of supporting medical debt reduction and family financial wellbeing,” said LSCU President Samantha A.M. Beeler. “It’s motivating to see the excitement already brewing for this Night of Miracles with a planning committee of over 60 credit union, league and CMN Hospitals representatives.”
