PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Power Financial Credit Union announced that it will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for largest marble cake at the Pembroke Pines Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Show on Monday, July 4 at 6 p.m.
In honor of the company’s 65th anniversary, Power Financial along with the assistance of Vicky Bakery, plans to assemble 65 sheet cakes weighing more than 470 pounds creating 6,500 individual slices for event-goers to enjoy.
“When we opened our first location back in 1951, no one could have known how successful we would become. We are proud of what we have achieved and the service we have provided to South Florida for 65 years,” said Power Financial Credit Union President/CEO Allan M. Prindle in a statement. “We are excited to celebrate this milestone in a unique way while also providing a special treat to guests.”
The Pembroke Pines 4th of July event will also include a Food Truck Roundup, a special children’s area and free rides for kids, live music and a fireworks show, sponsored by Power Financial Credit Union.
