LOVELAND, Colo.–Blue Federal Credit Union said it has become the official credit union of the Colorado Eagles, the American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche.
As part of the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Blue FCU will also have the naming rights on the Eagles home facility, which will be renamed Blue Federal Credit Union Arena effective Oct. 1.
The Eagles’ home arena is located at the Ranch Events Complex. Earlier this year, as CUToday.info reported here, Blue FCU announced it had bought the naming rights to what is currently called the Budweiser Event Center.
“This partnership will allow Blue to participate in several community-driven initiatives, including the team's Youth Jersey Giveaway night on November 24th and the Eagles annual Pot of Gold fundraiser,” the credit union said.
The $1.9-billion Blue FCU is headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyo.
"Our commitment to fostering connections within this community is evident as we proudly step into our role as the Official Credit Union of the Colorado Eagles,” said President and CEO Stephanie Teubner.
