Baylor Health Care System CU Names New CEO

WACO, Texas–Baylor Health Care System Credit Union has named a new CEO. The $75-million BHCSCU said Andy Reed will lead the organization, effective May 1.

Reed has been serving as president/CEO at the $24-million Texas People Federal Credit Union in Fort Worth. Reed returned the credit union to profitability in his first year of tenure by increasing income by 5.1% and reducing expenses by 11.5%, according to Credit Union Resources, which handled the job search.

Prior to working at Texas People FCU, Reed was manager of business development at American Airlines FCU, where he was responsible for leading and mentoring a team of 11 business development representatives that conducted over 1,000 business-to-business sales calls and member sign-up events annually, achieving between 120% and 250% of their annual goal for four consecutive years.

“Reed’s credit union experience and expertise will be a valuable asset to Baylor Health Care System CU,” said Credit Union Resources in a statement. “His passion for strategic leadership, lending, marketing, and technology will help Baylor Health Care System CU continue to provide exceptional service to its members.”

Baylor Health Care System CU has approximately 5,600 members.
