Baylor College of Medicine FCU CEO Tony Black Passes Away

HOUSTON–Tony L. Black, the CEO of  Baylor College of Medicine Federal Credit Union, has passed away. Mr. Black was 62.

Black was a long-time contributor to and supporter of the African American Credit union Coalition (AACUC).

“We mourn the loss of Texas Regional Chapter Secretary, Tony L. Black. Tony was a remarkable leader who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many,” the AACUC said. “Tony was more than just a CEO; he was a beacon of inspiration, dedication, and compassion. For 26 years, he graced Baylor College of Medicine Credit Union with his wisdom and unwavering commitment, leaving a legacy of integrity and excellence.”

The AACUC said that beyond Black’s professional endeavors, he was the proud owner of Kiddie Kolleges in Houston, where his passion for “nurturing young minds shone brightly.”

‘Kindness, Leadership, Infectious Smile’

Black’s involvement with the  African-American Credit Union Coalition spanned over 20 years, according to the organization.
“Serving as the Secretary of the Texas Regional Chapter since 2021, he worked towards empowering others and fostering inclusivity within the credit union movement,” the AACUC said. “Tony's kindness, leadership, and infectious smile will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
