BOSSIER CITY, La.—The $2-billion Barksdale Federal Credit Union here has agreed to purchase $73.8 million Home Bank of Arkansas, headquartered in Greenbrier, Ark..
The deal was announced by the lawl firm Luse Gorman.
The buy marks the fourth CU purchase of a bank in 2022, all of which have been announced in the last few weeks.
Barksdale FCU currently operates 25 branch offices throughout north and central Louisiana and in Longview, Texas.
Home Bank of Arkansas operates five branch offices in Damascus, Portland, Greenbrier, Marshall and Little Rock, Arkansas.
Barksdale FCU, which reported $15.7 million in net income in 2021, has 9.22% capital and ROAA of .82%, according to Call Report data. Home Bank lost $50,000 in 2021, and $419,000 in 2020, according to FDIC data.
