WOODBRIDGE, Va.—Belvoir FCU’s mobile banking application now supports biometric authentication.
Members with Apple iOS devices—iPhone5, iPhone6, iPhone6+, and iPad Air2—can access their accounts with a scan of their fingerprint.
The $320-million CU’s app utilizes Apple’s TouchID fingerprint reader. Belvoir expects the move will reduce unwanted and unauthorized access to member accounts.

BFCU’s mobile banking app lets members retrieve account history and balance updates, transfer funds, schedule bill payments, make mobile deposits and more.
