REDMOND, Wash. – BECU will become the presenting partner of the Marymoor Park Concert Series, which takes place annually here. The agreement also includes special benefits for members.
The credit union said it has entered into a partnership with AEG Presents, one of the world’s largest live entertainment companies. BECU will become the exclusive financial services partner of two AEG Presents owned and operated music venues, including The Showbox and Showbox SoDo theaters in Seattle.
“The partnership increases BECU’s visibility amongst music and live-entertainment fans in Washington and deepens its ties to the members and communities it serves across the Pacific Northwest region,” the credit union said, adding it is the first partnership of its kind between AEG Presents and BECU.
Significant Presence
As the presenting partner, BECU reported it will have a significant presence at BECU Presents Marymoor Park Concert Series, including large-scale branding and the ability to engage attendees via custom on-site activations, including promotion of its KEXP debit card.
The credit union will also collaborate with AEG Presents on numerous on-site offerings throughout the course of the relationship, including sweepstakes, premium giveaways and more.
“At BECU, we are passionate about supporting the arts and creating unforgettable experiences for the communities we serve. Our partnership with AEG Presents allows us to deliver on this commitment, while also driving awareness about the credit union in fun, unique ways,” said Brian Knollenberg, BECU’s senior vice president of marketing. “As we slowly emerge from the pandemic, we are excited to bring people together again to enjoy live-entertainment at Marymoor Park and provide our members with exclusive, possibly once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.”
This year’s BECU Presents Marymoor Park Concert Series kicks off on May 27 and will feature 17 weeks of world-class live entertainment along with some of the biggest names in music, including Phoebe Bridgers, Leon Bridges and Courtney Barnett, among many others, the CU said.
Up to 5,000 People
Now in its ninth year, the highly anticipated summer series will return to the scenic Marymoor Amphitheater, located at King County’s Marymoor Park – the largest, oldest and most popular park in Redmond.
“With an outdoor seating capacity of 5,000 and 640-acres of sprawling land, concertgoers can expect to enjoy intimate live-performances amidst one of the region’s most breathtaking natural landscapes, as well as gourmet food trucks, craft beers and fine wines, and more,” BECU said.
“Revenue from the BECU Presents Marymoor Park Concert Series, including 100% of the revenue from parking, directly supports the operation and maintenance of King County Parks' facilities and public lands.
Member Benefits
BECU said the BECU Presents Marymoor Park Concert Series provides a significant opportunity to introduce attendees to the credit union’s financial service offerings, while enhancing the brand’s connection to local music fans. With music and live entertainment as passion points, the partnership will help BECU connect with local residents and strengthen its ties to the diverse communities it serves across the state of Washington and beyond.
As the exclusive financial services partner, BECU members will receive a number of benefits and perks across AEG’s portfolio of venues and events, including exclusive pre-sale access to select AEG concerts as well as a range of on-site benefits. BECU members will also enjoy a dedicated “BECU Fast Lane” at BECU Presents Marymoor Park Concert Series, which will allow them to enter quickly and conveniently using their ticket and showing their BECU card.
Over the course of the relationship, BECU and AEG Presents will collaborate on a number of exclusive “BECU Members First Experiences.” These premium experiences could include but are not limited to artist meet and greets, fly away promotions, backstage tours and dinners and more. Additionally, as part of the credit union’s ongoing commitment to its people, BECU employees will gain the ability to purchase tickets to other AEG concerts in Seattle before they go on-sale to the general public.
