RENTON, Wash. – BECU said it has reached a multi-year agreement with the Seattle Seahawks to become the official credit union of the Seahawks.
BECU and the NFL team said they plan to partner on various community initiatives in the months to come.
As part of the partnership, the $21-billion BECU will have exclusive team logo usage rights and in-stadium branding, as well as team trademarks for usage in digital media and radio campaigns, and member events in the credit union category.
“The Seahawks are known for creating unrivaled experiences for fans in the Pacific Northwest,” said Tom Berquist, BECU’s chief marketing officer. “At BECU, we are similarly passionate about our members and the communities we serve. Our partnership with the Seahawks allows BECU to provide our members with an opportunity to participate in unique, potentially once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”
BECU said its focus on helping increase the financial well-being of its members and communities has meant the CU has returned $312 million to its members and donated $5.7 million to 196 community partners last year.
