WASHINGTON—The BCFP and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) on June 7 will host a joint webinar on how law enforcement and financial institutions can work together to combat elder financial exploitation.
Credit unions are encouraged to participate.
The webinar is slated to begin at 2 p.m. E.T., registration is required.
The webinar will focus on the importance of filing suspicious activity reports and the role that they can play in aiding law enforcement's investigation of elder financial abuse cases, explained NAFCU, which will me monitoring the meeting.
Webinar speakers include:
- Jenefer Duane, senior program analyst in the CFPB's Office for Older Americans
- Laura Richardson, section chief in FinCEN's Intelligence Division
- Peter Gallagher, deputy attorney general with the New Jersey Department of Justice
- Elaine Dodd, executive vice president in the Oklahoma Bankers Association's Fraud Division
- Steve Vallejo, senior vice president and corporate security director of Bank of the West's Corporate Security Investigations
