Austin Telco CU Partners With Major League Soccer Team

AUSTIN, Texas–Austin Telco FCU has announced a partnership with the Major League Soccer team Austin FC to become the Official Credit Union of the club.

The deal with the club, which was founded in 2018 and began its first season 2021, includes naming rights for what will be the Austin Telco Terrace on the 300-level concourse on the west side of Q2 Stadium, as well as two new murals created by local Austin artists.

In addition, each year Austin FC and the $2.5-billion Austin Telco will host two Hispanic Austin Leadership events at Q2 Stadium, offering free classes on a variety of leadership and financial topics. The partnership will showcase additional community giveback initiatives during the season throughout the Austin community, the credit union said.

Shared ‘Core Value’

“We are so excited to partner with Austin FC. This new partnership reflects our desire to align ourselves with companies that share and promote one of our core values, people helping people,” said CEO Robert Hernandez. “We admire their presence within the community and appreciate their support for local Austin businesses. This partnership further illustrates they are committed to Austin, and we look forward to collaborating with Austin FC to help educate and build true financial futures for the entire community.”
