At CU With Security in its Name, Thieves Steal the ATM

MADISON, Ala.–Thieves continue to target credit union ATMs, stealing machines and causing great damage in the process.

The latest credit union to be hit is Family Security Credit Union in Alabama. According to the Huntsville Police Department, investigators arrived to an alarm call at 4:17 a.m. from a Family Security CU office on Highway 72, where they found the ATM missing.

“When investigators arrived to the scene, a forklift was found behind the building and one of the ATMs was missing,” reported WAFF. “At this time, investigators believe the suspect is a male.”

The machine has not yet been recovered.
