CLINTON, Md. — An armored-truck driver servicing a Navy Federal Credit Union branch here was pistol-whipped and robbed Monday in an attack that authorities say netted roughly $500,000 in cash.
Police said the incident occurred outside the credit union’s location in the 8800 block of Woodyard Road, where a Brinks driver was ambushed by multiple suspects as he serviced the branch. One assailant was armed with a handgun, according to investigators, The Baynet reported.
The victim’s condition was not immediately disclosed. As of Monday, police had announced no arrests and released no suspect descriptions, The Baynet said.
Prince George’s County Police are leading the investigation.
