LITTLE ROCK, Ark.–The Arkansas Credit Union Association has launched a new outreach initiative called Arkansas Credit Unions: The Right Move. Right Now.
According to the Cornerstone Credit Union Association, of which the Arkansas league is a part, the website for the campaign is designed to “amplify the critical presence and value of credit unions in our communities and in the marketplace.”
The front of the website includes a video message of Gov. Asa Hutchinson as he thanks Arkansas credit unions for their work in providing financial assistance during the pandemic, as well as another video featuring credit union leaders from across the state.
"We're excited about this new way of outreach to consumers, credit union members, and our elected officials," said Vicky Salkeld, executive director of Arkansas Credit Union Association. "In Arkansas, credit unions play an important role in the economy and the financial health of 338,000 credit union members. With just one visit to the site, we hope our state leaders and policymakers will strongly consider credit unions' vital role when discussing policies and writing legislation."
Credit unions in Arkansas are being asked to participate in this initiative by uploading videos of their member stories, spreading social media posts, and using CUNA's Member Activation Program templates to communicate with staff and members, according to the Cornerstone league.
