LITTLE ROCK, Ark.–The Arkansas CU Association has a new president.
Vicky Salkeld has been named to the top spot, replacing Reta Kahley, who is retiring Dec. 31 after nearly 30 years in credit unions.
Salkeld herself has 33 years in credit unions, including in her current role as VP of sales with CU Resources, which is part of the Cornerstone CU League, as is the Arkansas CU Association.
The CCUL said Salkeld has facilitated an estimated 400+ planning sessions and has also been a Southwest CUNA Management School faculty team member in asset liability management for more than 10 years.
“This is a well-earned promotion for Vicky, and we are thrilled to recognize her service to credit unions,” said Cornerstone Chief Advocacy Officer Jim Phelps in a statement published by the CCUL. “The relationships with credit union leaders that she has built over the years, combined with her passion for strengthening our political capital, will serve her well as Arkansas Association president.”
