MADISON, Wis.–The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) will host a webinar today titled, “Are Credit Unions Truly Prepared for Generation Z?”
The webinar will begin at 11 a.m. E.T.
“Between supporting members through the pandemic, digital transformation, dealing with mergers and pushing to stay competitive, credit unions are facing multiple threats simultaneously,” WOCCU said. “Each missed signal poses risk to relevance, revenue, reputation and declining membership - and there is one oversight that many credit unions are falling into right now. Generation Z (born 1997 and onward) is now the dominant demographic, said to have $360 billion in spending power in the U.S. last year alone and representing 32% of the global population as of 2020.”
WOCCU said the webinar will highlight and demonstrate how to align with Generation Z to align on financial planning and community values, as well as practical methods and considerations for targeting this up and coming generation of consumers.
The webinar will be led by Paige Strand, communication manager for Central 1 Credit Union.
