‘Providing Opportunities’
“Through the support of our industry champions, the GWLN scholarship program continues providing opportunities for women in credit unions around the globe to challenge themselves, learn from their peers, connect and engage with one another,” said Lena Giakoumopoulos, GWLN Program Director. “Each year, it is impressive to see how the number of applicants keeps increasing as women empower each other to improve themselves throughout our industry.”
Since 2009, Global Women’s Leadership Network has awarded 64 scholarships to women from 24 countries. Scholarships are made possible through funding from annual membership donations and industry partner sponsorships, including the generous support of CUNA Mutual Group, CU Direct, Kinecta FCU, PSCU and the Susan Adams Scholarship Fund, established in honor of former Entrust Financial Credit Union CEO Susan Adams and supported by One AZ Credit Union.
