MADISON, Wis.–The Cooperative Trust said it is joining with CUNA to begin accepting applications for Crash the GAC 2016.
Those interested in the program—which provides scholarships for up-and-coming credit union professionals to attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference—must submit their applications by Oct. 31, 2015. New this year, applicants will be required to submit a 60-second video instead of an essay.
“The Cooperative Trust Crash events give young adults the opportunity to experience the power of the credit union movement in a dynamic, eye-opening environment,” said James Marshall, manager of The Cooperative Trust. “Selected participants for Crash the GAC 2016 will return to their credit unions full of ideas, new industry connections, and the motivation to create positive change.”
Crash the GAC will sponsor one credit union professional under the age of 35 from each state and the District of Columbia plus one wild card. Crashers are able to take part in keynote and breakout sessions, visit congressional leaders in Hike the Hill advocacy events, and network with the more than 4,000 credit union leaders in attendance.
