BUFFALO, N.Y.—Another credit union is considering filing a lawsuit against Home Depot related to the data breach at the giant home supply chain.
The attorney who is currently representing Southern Chautauqua FCU in a suit filed against Home Depot last month, is preparing to file another claim on behalf of a Buffalo-based CU, according to the Buffalo Business Journal. The attorney has declined to identify the CU considering the litigation. In its case, Southern Chautauqua filed suit in the Atlanta division of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and is seeking reimbursement of costs related to replacing cards, as well as for any fraud losses that are incurred as a result of that breach.
