SAN JOSE, Calif.—Add Meriwest Credit Union to the list of CUs sponsoring a Major League Soccer team.
The $1-billion Meriwest announced it is has signed a three-year agreement with the San Jose Earthquakes to become the official credit union sponsor of that team, according to published reports.
As part of the deal, Meriwest will receive significant signage rights throughout the exterior and interior of the team’s new Avaya stadium. The price of the sponsorship was not disclosed.
Trumark Financial Credit Union, Philadelphia, is the official financial institution of the Philadelphia Union and its PPL Park. Mazuma Credit Union, Kansas City Mo., signed a five-year sponsorship deal with MLS’ Sporting Kansas City.
