RALEIGH, N.C.–Saying it is seeking to take a new approach to its annual report, Coastal Credit Union has instead published a “Member & Community Impact Report.”
The report seeks to illustrate how the credit union serves not only its own members, but the community as a whole, Coastal said.
In addition to the 2016 financials, Coastal’s new Member & Community Impact Report includes:
- Information on CCU’s “We Share” brand message and “what it means to who we are”
- The cooperative principles under which the credit union operates
- A breakdown of the $21 million in value Coastal CU said it returned to members in 2016
- Its top community involvement initiatives
- A recap of the $307,000 in grants made by the Coastal Credit Union Foundation
- Highlights of 2016’s Power of Sharing event and the $285,000 in grants that were issued that night.
As CUTOday.info reported here, Firefly Credit Union also recently provided its members with a report showing the value the credit union returned.
