SAN DIEGO—Does your credit union have the winning recipe–for making chili? What about your members?
Xpress Data Inc.’s (XDI) has announced its annual Credit Union Chili Challenge has been scheduled for Aug. 4, 2018, in Del Mar, Calif., where it will award a record $25,000 in prize money to credit union charities this year. The company said the event not only spreads goodwill throughout the credit union community, it provides participating credit unions with an opportunity to build employee engagement and improve teambuilding skills.
Regardless of whether they participate in the Chili Challenge, XDI reported it is again offering a free chili cookoff kit to any credit union that requests one, so they can host their own teambuilding cookoff.
XDI said it will provide credit unions with a free chili cookoff kit that includes step-by-step instructions and electronic versions of all the documents a credit union needs to make the event a success. The chili cookoff kit can be downloaded by visiting XDI’s website here.
What’s more, XDI will provide an engraved winner’s plaque to any kit recipient that provides the name of its winning team. The entire kit is offered free and without obligation.
“A chili cookoff is a fun team building experience for all involved,” said XDI President Mike Cooper. “We want all credit unions to share in that fun. And of course, if a credit union wants to send its winning team to our CU Chili Challenge, all the better.”
