ST. LOUIS–Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union (ABECU) and its divisions, American Eagle Credit Union and Purina Credit Union, is moving its corporate headquarters.
ABECU said it recently finalized the purchase of the state-of-the-art building located at 423 Lynch Street along with adjacent property previously owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Plans call for the credit union to take possession on Oct. 1, followed by a five-six month renovation process. The new location is just a few blocks from ABECU’s current headquarters.
“This is an exciting move for us. As an organization, our promise is to assist our members with their financial needs and goals, build sustainable relationships, and support the communities we serve,” said CEO Bob McKay. “This move not only solidifies our commitment to our members and our community, the new headquarters will create a first-class working environment for our employees, provide for faster innovation, and enhance the high service levels our members have come to enjoy and expect.”
The credit union reported the building has a beautiful view of the St. Louis skyline, along with many features that will enhance the work environment for the ABECU employees, including an on-site café, open floor plan, gated parking, and natural daylight for every floor. In addition, its environmentally progressive design is one of the few buildings in St. Louis with an earthquake resistant build, ABECU said.
ABECU said it is an authentic St. Louis brand, with roots forming in 1939, and that it has multiplied in membership, expanded locations and accessibility throughout the St. Louis community, and increased its product and service offering, rivaling the best. “For more than seven solid decades, the Credit Union has put its members and community first, committing itself to making a difference,” McKay added. “We are here to stay and resolute in this commitment, looking ahead to our future growth.”
