LOS ANGELES–LAFCU has taken home to Lansing, Mich., the Diamond Best of Show Award – the highest honor—from the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s Diamond Awards competition.
The award was presented during the organization’s annual conference in Los Angeles.
LAFCU was honored for its entry titled “LAFCU Act with Love & Equality Art Initiative.” LAFCU also won a top award in another category.
According to the Council, the Diamond Awards, recognized credit union marketing and business development across 35 categories, ranging from direct mail to website marketing to public relations to social media. Judges evaluated entries based on strategy, design, production, creative concept, copy, communication and results, the Council said.
This year’s Diamond Awards competition received 1,195 entries – 86 credit unions won Category’s Best Awards and 262 won Diamond Awards.
The ‘Gold Standard’
“Diamond Awards are the gold standard of achievement in credit union marketing and business development,” said Marella Nardotti, chair, Diamond Awards, and VP of marketing, NextMark Credit Union. “Inventiveness in effectively achieving and exceeding objectives is what these awards honor.”

Listerhill Credit Union, Muscle Shoals, Ala., for its entry titled “Listerhill's Kicks for Kids”
Clarity Award for Most Sentimental
Whitefish Credit Union, Kalispell, Mont., for its entry titled “Whitefish Credit Union Presents: Member Stories”
Color Award for Brilliant Use of Art
LAFCU, Lansing, Mich., for its entry titled “LAFCU Act with Love & Equality Art Initiative”
Cut Award for Most Edgy
Texas Trust Credit Union, Arlington, TX for its entry titled “Vought Records”
