And The Winners Of NAFCU’s Annual Awards, Including CEOs Of The Year, Are…

ARLINGTON, Va.—NAFCU has named eight winners in its 2016 Annual Awards Competition, which honors association member credit unions and individuals for excellence and achievement in the industry. 
The winners will be recognized during NAFCU’s 49th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo in Nashville, set for June 14-17.
“This year’s annual award winners are outstanding leaders who have accomplished a new level of excellence in the credit union industry,” said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger. “NAFCU is proud to honor each of them for their success and commitment to member service and the credit union industry.”
For 2016, the competition for the annual awards recognized the CEO of the Year, Federal Credit Union of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year in each of two asset-size categories: $250 million or less, and more than $250 million.
This year’s winners are:
CEO of the Year:
•    Patsy Stuard, of Fort Lee Federal Credit Union in Fort Lee, Va., for a credit union with $250 million or less in assets.
•    Christopher O'Connor of Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union in Live Oak, Texas, for a credit union with more than $250 million.
Federal Credit Union of the Year:
•    Synergy Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas, for $250 million or less.
•    Heritage Federal Credit Union in Newburgh, Ind., for more than $250 million.
Professional of the Year:
•    Miranda Whitworth of Kern Federal Credit Union in Bakersfield, Calif., for a credit union with $250 million or less. 
•    Kim York of Ascend Federal Credit Union in Tullahoma, Tenn., for a credit union with more than $250 million.
Volunteer of the Year:
•    K.C. Soares of OAS Staff Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C., for a credit union with $250 million or less.
•    Harold W. Horning of CAP COM Federal Credit Union in Albany, N.Y., for a credit union with more than $250 million.
