HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—The CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council handed out its annual Excellence Awards during its annual conference here.
Ten credit unions were honored, including one named Best of Show.
The awards recognize and honor credit unions that exemplify excellence in human resources and training and promote credit union philosophies through people leadership.
Winners are:
Best of Show: Alabama CU, Tuscaloosa, Ala., for its Letting Go, Holding On: Empowering Employees through High Performance Teams program.
Remaining winning entries:

- HR/TD Management Practices (assets more than $1 billion): Mountain America CU, West Jordan, Utah, for its Webinar Training Companion: A Blended Approach program.
- HR/TD Strategic Leadership (assets less than $499 million): Town & Country FCU, South Portland, Maine, for its Internal Internship program.
- HR/TD Strategic Leadership (assets $500 million to $1 billion): University of Michigan CU, Ann Arbor, Mich., for its UMCU Talent Review.
- HR/TD Strategic Leadership (assets more than $1 billion): Mountain America CU, West Jordan, Utah, for its Professional Foundations: A Learning Strategy program.
