DURHAM, N.C.–The $54-million Vision Financial FCU has been selected as the winner of free consulting services from one of the nation’s leaders in successful branding and marketing as part of the celebration surrounding CUToday.info’s one-year anniversary.
The credit union was selected from dozens of requests from credit unions across the country to be considered for the program to drive new growth through a partnership with MacKinnon Marketing and Branding.
In his letter to CUToday.info, Vision Financial FCU CEO Michael Waylett said his CU has been in the process of making changes to facilitate growth, and made clear it does not wish to merge.
“Although our financials are strong and by all accounts we are considered a healthy CU, I realize we must continue to grow and attract younger members to be here 30 years from now,” wrote Waylett.
MacKinnon Marketing and Branding was recently launched by one of the most successful credit union marketers in the country. Roy MacKinnon was part of the team that led 1,500% growth over more than 25 years at First Entertainment Credit Union in Hollywood, Calif. Along the way he picked up nearly every marketing award available inside credit unions and out, and during his tenure also directly managed or supervised numerous areas, including branch operations, a specialized high net-worth member department, consumer lending, asset liquidation and SEG business development.
MacKinnon will now begin working with Vision Financial on new ways to drive growth during 2016.
