NEW YORK–Actors Federal Credit Union has named a new president and CEO.
The $310-million Actors FCU has namedChuck Brown to lead the organization. He previously served as chief compliance and risk officer.
According to Actors FCU, Brown joined the credit union as a member in 1986 before coming abord as a lending underwriter, and then serving as marketing director, and executive assistant to the president.
"It is truly an honor to be appointed CEO of the institution that I have considered my home since I first joined as a member as young actor in 1986,” said Brown. "Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some of the best people I have ever known, and the most creative, dedicated staff and members from both the financial and entertainment industries. It is my mandate to continue helping Actors Federal Credit Union grow and prosper without losing sight of what it means to be a true credit union, a not-for-profit, financial cooperative. I will always consider myself, first and foremost, a member."
An ‘Exciting Time’
The credit union said Brown’s appointment comes at an “exciting time” for Actors FCU as it continues to expand its services and enhance its offerings to better serve its members.
“His leadership abilities and commitment to excellence are ideally aligned with the Credit Union’s purpose to serve its members and the creative community with honesty and kindness,” AFCU said.
Actors FCU has more than 28,000 members.
