WEST JORDAN, Utah–American United FCU has named a new president and CEO to succeed the retiring Michelle Thorne. Thorne served in the role for 20 years.
Named to lead the $377-million organization has been Jacob Bowman, who has nine years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining American, Bowman served on the credit union board and also held leadership positions at Cushman & Wakefield and the Veterans Health Administration, where he “developed a reputation for strategic vision, innovation, and operational excellence.”
In addition, Amy Daniels has been named executive vice president effective Sept. 1, 2023. Daniels has more than 21 years of experience in the financial services industry.
American United has approximately 26,000 members.
