FORT WORTH, Texas–The $7-billion American Airlines FCU has named a new CEO.
The credit union has selectedGail Enda to lead the organization after its prior president/CEO, Angie Owens, accepted a position with American Airlines as vice president-finance, transitioning to VP/controller position upon the incumbent’s retirement in February. Enda had been serving as acting president for the past several months.
Enda has worked for American Airlines Federal Credit Union for 17 years, beginning as VP-marketing, and then also leading member services, deposit programs, and investment services. She most recently served as SVP-lending and product management, where she oversaw AAFCU’s payments products, digital services, mortgage and business lending operations, consumer loan and account services programs and collections functions.
She previously worked for American Airlines in a number of different roles in the finance and HR organizations.
“I could not be more proud to lead this organization that is so passionate about our purpose and focused on our members and each other,” Enda said in a statement. “I also want to thank Angie Owens for her steadfast leadership over the last 10 plus years.”
Enda serves on the NAFCU Regulatory Affairs Committee and is an active member of the CUNA Lending Council and Members Development Corporation. She has been on the board of directors for ePayResources, formerly SWACHA, since 2015.
American Airlines FCU has approximately 293,569 members.
