JACKSON, Mich.–American 1 CU here has become the presenting sponsor for the 2018 Hot Air Jubilee, set for July 20-22 at Ella Park and expected to feature more than 25 balloonists from across the state of Michigan.
“The Hot Air Jubilee is a wonderful fit for American 1 involvement,” stated Laura Pryor, VP of marketing and communications. “Jackson is a beautiful community with incredible parks, and the Jubilee accentuates that beauty with all of the colors and excitement of the balloons. We’ve decided to integrate some of our corporate entertainment events into the weekend which will bring more people to the Jubilee, including some visitors from out of town.”
The Hot Air Jubilee features breathtaking balloons, and a full festival on the ground, including 32 crafters and 14 concessioners. For the first time on Friday evening there will be helicopter rides available. American 1 said that “back by popular demand all weekend” will be Knockerball Kings, which will include smaller balls for younger children. In addition to the park play areas, Kids Kingdom will be a completely free game area for children to enjoy. The Classic Car Show also returns to the Jubilee.
The main attraction, the Hot Air Balloons, will debut on Friday evening with a Pilot Parade onto the launch field. Balloons are scheduled to take flight Friday and Saturday night at 6:30 p.m., and the mornings of Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. A Pilot Meet and Greet takes place on Saturday from 3:30 – 4:30. Friday and Saturday evenings conclude with a night glow on the launch field across from Ella Sharp Museum, the credit union said.
The event will be free to the community.
