PHOENIX —America First Credit Union said it has entered into a partnership with the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) that will provide scholarship opportunities to student-athletes and “great exposure for the basketball championship tournaments.”
The deal, which runs through the 2026-27 school year, makes the Utah-based America First Credit Union the “Official and Exclusive Credit Union of the AIA” and the presenting sponsor of the AIA Basketball State Championships.
In addition, America First Credit Union will sponsor the AIA’s Scholar Athlete of the Year award presented at its annual Champions Gala. The organization will honor eight student-athletes with scholarship checks at the event.
‘Unwavering Focus’
"We’re thrilled to partner with the Arizona Interscholastic Association because it’s a great way for America First Credit Union to support students and student-athletes in building a brighter financial future,” said Tammy Gallegos, chief marketing and strategic engagement officer at America First Credit Union. “America First's unwavering focus on the community and dedication to advancing education makes this collaboration a win-win for all involved."
